SKPC in Hungary
written by Kieran Commins
The SKPC made a March visit to Budapest. 15 members boarded the 0720 Ryanair flight on the 19th March as part of a 4 day package arranged by Cassidy’s Travel and organised by John Leahy. After an excruciating hour passing passport control we were met by a bus to bring us to our hotel. The Carlton Hotel was located a few minutes walk from the Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and the famous Chain Bridge.
The group was a mix of some experienced members and a good representation from new members and beginners. We split into 3 groups to avoid 15 photographers fighting with each other for ‘that’ view. John Leahy, David J Ennis, who had been to Budapest last year, and Kieran Commins led the groups.
It was a most enjoyable trip with many photographic locations within walking distance followed by sampling of local cuisine and beverages at very reasonable prices.
The gallery below showcases some of the photos from the group using photos that were published on our private facebook group. At least one photo from each member who published photos is included but some members have not yet done so are are unfortunately omitted from this article.
